It does not need a dual signal remote, that's not how Sync works. If Sony programmed the PS3 to have Sync then when you hit the PS button on your PS3 controller, the PS3 would turn on, it would then send a signal to the Receiver via the HDMI cable (this is what Sync uses) to turn on and also what input to select. Then the receiver would send a signal to the TV via HDMI to also turn on and select the correct input. All three components would have to be Sony brands that are Sync compatible.
You do not need to have a duel remote to turn on all three at the same time. Sync would also work if you hit the Blu-ray button on your receiver's remote. The receiver would turn on and then send a sync signal to the PS3, again via the HDMI cable (not bluetooth) to turn on. The receiver would also send a signal to the TV to turn not, not via IR, but via HDMI!!
My TV and receiver are already Sync compatible, I just need the PS3 to have it, then the entire system would work as one.
Na jednom foru se tímto problémem zabývají od roku 2007 a stále bezvýsledně, čeká se na FW jenž by přidal opravdu funkční HDMI-CEC
